The purchase of a ticket to the event will be deemed as an agreement to abide by the terms and conditions outlined by the Byline Festival. 


Note: These conditions are to be heeded along with all other statements and or instructions either listed on the ticket or displayed on the grounds or else can lead to eviction or heavy fines.   

 

GENERAL

All events and billed attractions may be subject to change. 

Festival goers attending the event and staying on-site without a ticket or with a fraudulent one will be penalised. All tickets from unlawful street traders are invalid. Anyone entering with these tickets will be penalised. The tickets are non- transferable and are valid only when bought from the official site. All the tickets will be sent as e-tickets and thus not be replaced or reissued. 

Entry into the festival will be acknowledged as consent by the ticket holder to be included without any fee within any audio or visual recording to be used in any media at any time.  This would also include filming by the security personnel to ensure the safety of the festival- goers and prevention of any crime.

All professional recording of the event or activities need to be permitted by the Byline Festival authorities. Individuals found using unauthorised professional recording equipment may be fined.

All vehicles entering the sites need to be authorized by the Byline Festival staff. 

Byline Festival is not liable for any damages sustained by people or personal property (including confiscations) or any injuries sustained by individuals, unless it was because the negligence of the event/ festival staff.  


refunds

The Byline Festival does not replace any lost tickets. 

In the event of a cancellation by a ticket holder, the festival offers a 50% refund only if the ticket has been cancelled two months prior to the event. However, the ticketing/administration fee will not be refunded. The refunds will be sent to the respective parties within three months after the event. 

The festival security holds the right to evict any customer or party as per the eviction procedure or decline admission if the individuals are found not abiding by the festival guidelines.

All the venues of performance and bars are sheltered properly. Nonetheless, in case of rain or difficult weather conditions no refunds will be available unless the Byline Festival decides to cancel/postpone it. Please pack for all weather conditions!


Tickets and ID

Festival goers attending the event and staying on-site without a ticket or with a fraudulent one will be penalised.

The tickets are non- transferable and are valid only when bought from the official site.  All the tickets will be sent as e-tickets and thus not be replaced or reissued.

Tickets bought from unauthorised vendors will not allow your entry into the event.

All festival goers are responsible for their own tickets and must have their tickets on them during their entire time in the event. Any damage of the ticket must be referred to the festival staff or the ticket counters prior to the event.

Lost tickets will not be re-issued and need to be purchased at the set prices again to enter the event.

The tickets cannot be used as a part of any marketing strategies or promotional sales offers without the written consent of the festival authorities.

Byline Festival is likely to have certain events with strong language and graphic images, that may not be suitable for children. We are not able to clearly predict the material that will be showcased as a lot of the events are live performances and cover a range of themes.

Full or provisional photo card driving licence issued by the DVLA (any photo card driving licences issued between 1998 and 2007 will need a second from of ID)

Age Policy

All ticket buyers must bring suitable id with photographic proof. You may be asked, for proof of age possibly upon entry to the event or at sites selling alcohol.

Individuals under the age of 18 need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is 18 years older. The accompanying adult must remain on the premise for the entire event and axiomatically takes over responsibility for all actions of the children and making certain that all the festival content is suitable for the children.

 Individuals above 18 years need a full price ticket to enter the ticket.

Children between of 5- 17 years need the Child Ticket to attend the event.

Children between 0-4 years will not need a ticket. However, it is essential to confirm on the ticket page, if there are children between the age group. This helps the festival authorities arrange the required facilities.  


Security

All bags and containers may be searched at the entry points/ the sites or when leaving. Failure to submit for a search or resisting a search can restrict entry into the event. 

Any items or goods that are considered a threat or can cause harm/nuisance to the festival and its attendees will be confiscated.

Kindly respect everyone’s space at the event. Any anti-social behaviour may lead to removal from the event without refunds.

Individuals engaging with illegal activities or caught with illegal goods and items on the banned list will be handed over to the police and refused entry. The sale of any unofficial item or beverage will be penalised.

Lighting any fires without authorised permission throwing aerosol sprays or similar canisters/ inflammable substances on the premise will lead to eviction. Any lit fires need to be supervised carefully and throwing aerosol sprays/ similar canisters/ inflammable material will be penalised or evicted.

The festival security holds the right to evict any customer or party or decline admission if the individuals are found not abiding by the festival guidelines. 


Damage /Losses

Byline Festival is not liable for any damages sustained by people or personal property (including confiscations) or any injuries sustained by individuals, unless it was because the negligence of the event/ festival staff. 

Individuals caught damaging/ vandalising the festival equipment and facilities will be heavily fined and evicted from the event.

The festival is not responsible for any lost/ stolen goods.  


Items/Actions That Will Restrict Entry

The security reserve the right to search bags at entry points and at any point during the festival if the individual is suspected of carrying any restricted items that could be used dangerously.

The following items will not be allowed into the festival site: aerosols over 250ml, glass, air horns, fireworks, flares, illegal substances/drugs, ‘legal highs’, laser equipment/pens, megaphones, nitrous oxide, sky or ‘Chinese’ lanterns, sound systems, spray cans, tabards/high visibility jackets, campsite stoves, large and open drinks bottles (500ml are permitted), generators except for those fixed in campervans, loudspeakers, drones/similar appliances. Please note: you cannot bring alcohol in to the event (bars are situated on the site).

Individuals caught with any of the prohibited items or resisting the confiscation of the banned items by security may be evicted from the site.  

Individuals caught throwing objects or inciting surrounding groups to behave unfavourably will be removed from the grounds immediately without refunds.

Individuals under 18 years of age are not allowed to bring alcohol or purchase alcohol from the bar venues. People found buying alcohol on behalf of the under 18 will be heavily penalised.  

Mobile phone cameras, pocket sized cameras and cameras with small detachable telephoto lenses will be allowed into the event for personal use only. Any other professional video/audio-recording equipment to record any event is prohibited without prior written consent of the Byline Festival authorities. 


Fraudulent Tickets

Please purchase any tickets for the event only from the Byline Festival website or authorised agents that have been listed on our page. We have not authorised the sale of festival tickets through any other external websites.

Festival goers with fraudulent tickets will be penalised. 


Fire and Safety

Large fires are not permitted in the arena. Gas canisters (max 2.7 kg) are permitted for small bonfires along with small barbeques.  However, proper care must be taken to douse the fires and not scorch the grass. It is also highly recommended to not cook in the tent.

The burning of plastics, bedding, tents, furniture etc. is not permitted anywhere on site.

People should abide the no smoking signs where they are posted. Smoking in these areas including electronic cigarettes may be fined. Please remember to dispose the cigarette ends in the appropriate bins, to prevent unexpected fires in the park.

The events may have special effects that might include lasers, smoke machines, strobe lighting/ special effects and so on to enhance the performances.

The use of Drones or similar equipment for any reason is strictly forbidden on site without prior written consent from Byline festival.


Housekeeping

Kindly do not litter the premises. Please use the dustbins and recycling points to dispose of all trash.

No pets other than guide or hearing dogs are allowed on the site.
